Many of you will have heard the sad news that Professor Luciano Petech passed away in September. His erstwhile student, Elena de Rossi Filibeck, has been kind enough to compile a short obituary, which is attached to this message with a Tibetan translation by Tsering D. Gonkatsang. The obituary has also been posted on the website of the JIATS.
